About us
Liuzhen (Amanda) Pan, R.TCMP, R.Ac, is a member of CTCMPAO, the governing college for Chinese medicine practitioners and acupuncturists in Ontario. Before coming to Canada in 2008, she had over 20 years of experience as a medical professional in China, working in emergency rooms, internal medicine, and integrated Chinese/Western medicine in public hospitals. It was during her medical education that she was first exposed to traditional Chinese medicine. She found Chinese medicine and acupuncture to be the perfect complement to modern medical practices. Since settling in Toronto 15 years ago, Liuzhen has been treating Canadian patients while also imparting important lifestyle knowledge rooted in this tradition. In her many years of clinical practice in Chinese medicine and acupuncture, she has helped thousands of patients improve their health and quality of life.
The clinic primarily uses acupuncture as a treatment option. When Chinese medicine is prescribed, Liuzhen ensures that the medicinal ingredients are sourced ethically. The clinic has replaced almost all animal ingredients with plant-based ones and uses substitutes for ingredients that cannot be farmed ethically or sustainably. Patients who still have concerns can opt for acupuncture-only treatments. Other safe and ethical treatments, such as cupping (拔火罐), Gua Sha (刮痧), and moxibustion (艾灸), are offered free of charge if necessary.
